Eaglets to get plots of land in Abuja

FIFA U-17 Champions, the golden eaglets of Nigeria will soon be proud owners of plots of land at the federal capital territory, FCT, Abuja, officials said. "We have filled forms for plots of land in Abuja", Eaglets coach, Manu Garba said.
"All the players and officials filled these forms".
The government had in the past rewarded title winning teams with plots of land at the nation's capital city, but apart from the monetary reward given to the Eaglets after winning the world cup, no one has heard anything about the land rewards. The super eagles received plots of land when the 2013 Africans cup of nation.
Some observers had blasted the federal government for not rewarding the history making team with a more enduring gifts like land or houses as were the case when the same team won in 2007, with top officials saying the government ought to have done a lot more for the team.
