Akon and Wizkid under fire in Ghana after regecting dark - skinned girls for video shoot

According to news site, Akon and Wizkid were supposed to be in Ghana for a video shoot and as usual needed models for the shoot. The models were organised by the video shoot directors but the models were reportedly turned away on the instruction of Akon and Wizkid who were said to have specifically asked for light skinned girls.

According to reports, the girls who came around were turned away saying that they need half-cast. "They" meaning Akon and Wizkid.

Nigeria where Wizkid is from and Senegal where Akon is from are countries both flooded with girls bleaching their skin simply because of such discrimination and being made to feel ugly when dark. Not just in media mad modelling but general favours of life.

We shall be waiting to hear from Akon and Wizkid their own side of the story to ascertain if the story is true.
