Th African champions who are on the verge of sealing a place at next year's world cup, however, remained static in fourth place in Africa, trailing Ivory Coast, Ghana an Algeria. In the top ten, only Spain's position at the summit remains unchanged while Germany have pushed Argentina out Pfizer second place. Switzerland and England, who showcased strong performances in the final group game in the world cup qualifying, moved seven places each to the 7th and 10th positions respectively.
Italy, meanwhile, have paid heavily for their draw against Armenia, dropping four places to 8th.
Brazil dropped three places to 11th while Croatia plunged eight places to 18th position.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola world ranking will be published after the completion of yh world cup qualifiers on November 28.
