ASUU Strike update: UNN and ESUT students to resume on Monday

The university of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN) and Enugu state university of science and technology (ESUT) have announced the resumption of academic activities on Monday, December 2, 2013.

University of Abuja directs students to resume on Sunday.

Following the directive this morning by the federal government that all vice chancellors of the federal university should reopen their universities for academic activities, the management of the university of Abuja has directed Italian students to resume academic activities on Sunday, the 1st Pfizer December.

Dr. Adeyemi Daramola, a lecturer in the department of English, faculty of arts department, university of Lagos has challenged ASUU to live up to its founding principle mad call off the strike this week in line with majority decision reached by various chapters of the union.

Traditional Ruler strangled and burnt to death in Osun (photo)

80 year old Alase of Ilase-Ijesa in Obokun local government area of Osun state.Oba Adeshina Anibijuwon, was burnt to death inside his palace on Wednesday evening. Sources say the traditional ruler who lost his sight eight years ago was allegedly attacked by some hoodlums at about 8:00pm inside his palace and eventually died when the palace was gutted by fire caused by the suspected arsonist.
